Seventeen

Una Lee
Class of 2014
Pre-Pharmacy

I encountered the number 17 in 4th grade, a year after I came back to America from Korea. I was at a loss at the differences I found in the two different cultures, not knowing English very well and not being able to make friends. Fourth grade was the school year that I truly figured out how I should start carrying myself and changed my personalities from a shy girl to a more open-minded person. In the class, I was given the number 17 and the number stuck to me as a favorite number for life. I am turning 18 in a week and I would like to be 17 (the best year of my life so far) forever. I am seventeen.
