Grow

It has been a long journey to get to this word. When I first started thinking about my word I thought "passion", because passion is necessary to accomplish anything in life. However, "passion: did not properly address my heritage. So I upgraded to "VIVA!" But that was too temporary, too impulsive for me. I adjusted my word to "rooted", a concept drilled into me by my Dad. He taught me that without roots you can't go anywhere. Or at least you can't get there with strength. Although I know where I'm from there is still a lot I need to figure out. Finally, I came to "Grow". It incorporates all of the above. It is where I am coming from and where I am going. I need my roots to stabilize my passions as I live (viva!) my life. And I hope that through my whole life I continue to ... grow.
