Stith-pragya

Toral Pandya
Class of 2012
IDS

Stith-pragya is a Sanskrit word from one of the oldest epic of ancient Indian culture. It means a person who is balanced. Someone who is in a constant state of mental and emotional equilibrium with his/her surroundings. I am a modern woman living in today’s world, having grown up in the midst of culture as old as time. I am a daughter, a mother, a wife, a friend, a professional, a student, a leader and a teacher. And I have to constantly make an effort to balance these roles to maintain my equilibrium.
