"Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it." - Michael Jordan

In Dec `03, I was in a life altering car wreck. (6 week coma, & the DR's had pronounced that I'd most likely never walk or talk again.) This took place in Albany Oregon, but my mom had me flown down to Santa Clara Valley Med Center, in San Jose CA. Because I couldn't speak, I learned to use a Dynawrite (A typewriter machine that spoke for me.) I first began my rehabilitation in a wheelchair. Over many, many months I progressed to a walker, then crutches, and finally took my first step with no assistance. (I must have looked pretty drunk because people would stare, and stare. ;-) I accredit all of my rehabilitation to my Lord, Jesus Christ. I could have never endured all that I’ve gone through by myself. (It is through PERSISTENCE that I am able to share my story with you today.)
